There was an old lady who swallowed a fly...........

Once again a disappointing run. I was supposed to run at a fast pace for 10 minutes. I managed about one before having to stop. So, undeterred I decided I would run for as long as I could, recover then go again, but for 15-20 mins instead. I guessed that was better than nothing. All was going well until I ran through some flies and of course managed to swallow one! Unfortunately it lodged in my throat making me cough to the point of being sick! Not really the training session I had in mind!

Thank goodness I’ve got Jakki coming tomorrow. I’m hoping she will sort my training out, my diet out and get me on the right track.

I’m still positive about the half marathon even though my two training sessions haven’t gone well so far. My aim is to get round, and if I’m the last one round then so be it! Someone has to be last and I guess it will give me a base to work on for next year!

We’ve had a lovely day. Rich, Alfie and myself went to Skegness. It poured with rain, but we had fun on the beach, and then of course had to have seaside fish and chips! Later we went to a bird reserve and enjoyed a walk in the fresh air and rain.

But....you went out again, and didn't give up. That's another step forward. And hey, if the flies hadn't been there it would have been easier let's face it!

I'm impressed by your determination. Running is definitely not my thing.

Good luck with your session with your trainer.
